You remember dying. In fact, you remember the exact feeling and fear of how you died, and yet in the next moment, you're suddenly standing in a cold room. You're not sure how you got here at all, but it's as if you were suddenly put here the moment after you died. As you look around, the first thing you'll notice is that you're standing in front of an open casket. And you're inside. The corpse inside the casket is definitely you, and it's also definitely dead, which certainly makes this confusing. Luckily, here's someone here to explain. When you wake up, there's footsteps walking closer, and then a familiar face appears. Iván is here, or someone that looks very much like her is. All she starts off with is two simple words— "You're dead." Which would seem obvious, but she explains that you have been before you ever arrived to the island. The shipwreck and the island are't real, after all. This is purgatory, and the Hunt is a way to judge the souls of the living. People show their true nature when they're put in a stressful situation, so it was deemed that this was the way that these judgements would be passed. She explains that you'll know your fate when the game ends, but if you really can't wait that long, you could always ask, but hope isn't lost. After all, the "killers" are on your side. If they can win the game, then everyone can come back to life. They know this, and it's why they're fighting so hard to win. It's a shame that the odds don't seem to be in their favor, but that's also part of the Hunt. — Exploring your new surroundings, you'll realize that you're likely at the bottom of that giant sinkhole, at least if that light far above you is any indication. You no longer feel the need to eat or sleep anymore (technically, you never did, but the habits of being alive are hard to break), so it's a good thing there's enough to do while the game continues. You can watch the proceedings of the Hunt in one room where there's plenty of comfortable couches to sit in and lounge, as well as a fully stocked bar, if you feel like indulging. Another room offers a game room with cards, billiards, and any other games you'd like to play in a group. If you ask your host nicely, she might provide more, but for now, there's not much to do other than to watch and wait for the Hunt to end.

It is more likely at this rate for them to name someone before a vote than for them all to have their facts straight concerning your role.

On top of that, do you have any preliminary guesses as to who they may lynch first? It is rather early, but they only have three hours and a little over a half to vote.

It's almost impossible to guess. Without the fox pinning someone, they're just going to go with someone based on mob mentality, you know? And if the fox had found a foxhound, I'm certain the lawyer would have said something by now. So they have nothing.

[ Which is...good? For the mafia? Sort of... ]

...Personally I'm hoping it's someone I like. [ so they can like talk again and stuff. ]

[ He almost chuckles at the first, because honestly... if after what that guy pulled he could almost see it happening. Almost. ]

They do have nothing, although from the reactions I've observed, it seems the lawyer had some sort of affiliation with one of the victims.

[ He thinks it might come into play. But eh, something else could happen so--he pauses at the possibility of someone he likes coming down here. He had entertained the thought much earlier, but... ]

...As for hoping who, I can see why you would. In my case, I would like the one I had the audacity to name while I was still "alive" to come into here so I might speak with him more. It could be interesting.

[ Clarine and Gi-ne are out because the latter needs to deliver that letter, and the former ... well. He has no excuse for that, really. ]

Yeah, but that victim was a foxhound...at least, Ema said he was one of the guys who killed her.

[ Orion, that was. They have three foxhound names and Shijima plans to keep collecting them, if only because she's incredibly curious. ]

Which means whenever he shows up here, he can give us the rest of the names, I guess. ...Unless he refuses to share... [ She's actually mildly curious if Sephiroth was right about the guy he accused or not. It's not like she'd cared either way on the first day. ]

Orion, hm? That is rather interesting.

[ He was curious too, and out of the whole group of those 'swords', Souza was the only one who really caught much of his interest. And since they could only small talk here... ]

Although I can't surmise as to why he wouldn't share, should he be asked.

Perhaps someone who isn't me should do the asking, at least. He didn't seem to like me.

[ So she's appointing Sephiroth to get her the deets, apparently. ]

The other one was...I think his name is Hijikata...? And then Gi-ne. Those are the three we know of for certain so far. [ She has a few guesses to others, but doesn't see any point in sharing. Shijima's sharing moods come and go. ]

I didn't pay much attention to his interactions with you in comparison with your other ones. But with that in mind, I will approach him instead.

[ He doesn't mind, and this way there's a better guarantee those deets would be gotten. ]

Hm? Gi-ne is one? Now that one is a surprise. She seemed to do a fairly adequate job at keeping herself well-immersed in the situation.

[ He... is legitimately surprised at her, over the rest of anyone Shijima could've named -- even Orion he had suspicions about. But, he supposes this is a good thing, considering he had his suspicions concerning the rest. And even better for her to live. ]

He didn't like how coldly I was treating the game. ...Well, it's hard to care about dead people dying more, especially when you've seen it so much...

[ She was desensitized even before her infinite murder game loop began. That didn't totally help things. Shijima nods at the question, looking thoughtful. ]

Mhmm, I don't think anyone really suspects her as of yet...she could be lucky and get pretty far in. We just have to hope the foxes don't check her out in order to verify for certain she's on their side - otherwise, she should be more or less "safe" for the time being. ...Well, unless they end up with a randomized lynch today.

[ Idly watching Hinata try to find some sort of direction. ]

It is. Not many here seem to understand it, unfortunately.

[ He is just someone who is cold and calculating most of the time, and he was really doing his best to keep it as such. Which is why he had suggested a name like that without breaking a sweat. ]

... In retrospect, however, considering what the group has said and seeing what actions they may take in regards to actions within the next two hours, they might just go for the randomization or choose between those three names.

[ That short discussion about short-bladed wielders. Because he knows not all of them know that Orion was... forcibly killer-aligned. ]

Basically, there's no real way to tell who will be joining us tonight aside from the three obvious options.

[ Especially since no one seems to be pointing a finger decisively. ]

It could be Bols, if enough people take him up on his vote-for-him offer.

[ He supposes these people will just always have an issue with being so decisive... he doesn't understand it. He really can't. Especially in a life or death situation. ]

When you add that in, that is five possibilities as to how the voting could go.

Possibilities... in accordance to the choices for voting. The three, Bols, and randomization. And since Ivan is out of the way, that's not a possibility.

[ But... now that he thinks about it, he has been wondering a bit about her, and decides to segue a little. ]

Speaking of Ivan, however, since you have been here longer ... I wonder what is the deal with there appearing to be someone who looks like her here. Are they related by blood by any chance, or just happen to appear similar to her person?
