the general - night two.
THE GENERAL night two ![]() Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn. character statuses profiles All night votes will be due 8/14 by 5PM EST |

[It's true that it puts them more at risk though....]
Perhaps we should take a vote amongst ourselves on what to do about this problem as well.

What if we desecrate it first? So they can't? [GI-NE, NO] Ah, but voting is a good idea.
no subject
[NO???]
We cannot do that! We would be no better than them!

[He's so angry about this, and now it's impotent anger because apparently Hijikata didn't do it after all? Unless Hijikata and Orion are lying and Hijikata threatened Orion to make him go along with the story... no, that would be silly.]
That's... what I'd like to say, but after talking to Fuuma earlier, I'm not sure. He said there are people keeping an eye on me.
[WHY....]

[YOU ARE THE LEAST SUSPICIOUS HERE, HINATA in murdermom's eyes, at least.]
What did you do for that to happen?
no subject
[He's so scared, murdermom. :c]
I don't know what he was saying. I thought he was saying I was suspicious, but then after that, he gave me some advice for the voting and was strangely nice. I don't know.
Um, he said exactly, "you're the kind of guy who stands out in places like this," and then said that he's probably not the only one who's kept his eye on me.

[Is Fuuma not half as smart as she thinks he is??]
no subject
[He hadn't thought of it like that... guilty conscience.]
no subject
[Unless it's to trigger the guilty conscience but Gi-ne's not going that deep.]
But... "Watch out, you might be a target" does make sense, right? [RIGHT? She's asking sincerely.]
no subject
I don't think I'm suspicious? But... I don't remember my talent. No matter what I do, I just can't remember it. I could see why someone would want to investigate me, because of it. If I get investigated by the Fox, it's all over.
[...Yep, he's panicking a little; though his voice is at least still fairly steady, his eyes are wide.]

It's okay. There are people here way more suspicious than you. It's only the second night. We'll catch the Fox before they even think to look at you.
no subject
You didn't notice anyone who thinks I'm suspicious, right? What if Melborn is the Fox? I... should probably stop confronting people, right? Or is silence more suspicious?
I don't know. This isn't anything like I'm used to.
no subject
I haven't noticed anyone looking at you weird, but this isn't what I'm used to either. I don't think Royce is the Fox- [Ah, but if he is, she might be the one in trouble...] Maybe I can talk to him? He doesn't seem to hate me.
no subject
[He shrugs a little helplessly. At least he seems to be in a bit of a better mental state after talking to Gi-ne? That's something.]
A-anyway... yeah. If you think it's a good idea, it can't hurt to talk to him. And... depending on what happens, I'll... try to stay near the... the body tonight. I don't want to see this happen again.
no subject
I think that's a good idea too. [Well, tbh, she doesn't know that Hinata's the best choice for that job but... He'll have to man up sometime! Guarding the corpse can be practice for murder.] You can come along with me or whoever does the job tonight and keep an eye on things.
... But if you see anyone try to do anything, don't confront them, okay? Just hide.
no subject
And... I don't want to hold you back, either. If one of the others would be a better choice to accompany you, it's fine. I'll just... try to follow the barking, maybe.
no subject
[Tayto barks obediently. Good boy.]
But we can talk about that later, don't worry.
