the general - night two.

THE GENERAL night two

Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight.

After all, you're saving them.

You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn.

Exactly. We can't have our names being shouted out by people, otherwise we'll end up like Souza today.

[ At that question, he pauses, before offering a: ] I'm not sure. We saw how the swords — my... friends — voted in unreasonable situations like that, though. I'll sway them to vote to lynch the accusers, in cases like that. That's eight whole votes.

It's pretty useful, right?

[Admittedly, it is pretty useful, though it also makes her feel a little sick..... the thought of shifting the blame to an innocent person.]

Ah... yes, well... I have only heard Hijikata's name come up in that sense, so... [that's what u get for being suspicious, bro]

[ This is why Clarine's in the weenie corner... ]

In the case that, for example, your name comes up, would you allow yourself to be lynched without a struggle? At the very least, you'd try to shift the blame off of yourself... right?
unrulyprincess: (Thou impertinent dizzy-eyed vassal!)

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-13 06:27 pm (UTC)(link)
[waves weenie flag....

though she has an easy answer for that.]

Naturally, I would try otherwise... the only way to save everyone is for us to win. We cannot do that if we all are killed in these trials...

[A pause, and she frowns slightly.]

I understand what we must do, and shall do so. [weenie corner not gonna give them up.] It does not mean I must like it.

Good. [ He likes that answer. ] It's kind of sad that no one knows, but they'll see eventually — if we win.

Even if we don't like it, we should still make the best of it. That way, we'll do it better. If we do it better, everyone will be saved.

At least, that's what I think!
unrulyprincess: (Thou loggerheaded ill-breeding vassal!)

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-13 10:23 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes... of course. We must do our best, no matter what.

Then... have you thought about what we must do next?
gravesite: dns (▶ where my limbs hung far and fair)

[personal profile] gravesite 2015-08-14 12:57 am (UTC)(link)
Picking someone to kill, of course, but other than that... [ A shrug. ] Not really!
unrulyprincess: (Thou ruttish beef-witted bladder!)

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-14 12:58 am (UTC)(link)
But who? Surely you must have some sort of opinion either way.
gravesite: dns (▶ you were young and you'd stare)

[personal profile] gravesite 2015-08-14 01:02 am (UTC)(link)
Well, there's someone I had in mind.

Fuuma - is that his name? The confident one; he wore glasses, too. But killing him would point some suspicion towards Hinata, it seems.

Eventually, when the swords stop being useful, I'd like to kill some of them, too.
unrulyprincess: (Thou cockered folly-fallen joithead!)

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-14 01:20 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, I think we are in agreement as to him, but--

[.... ???????]

...Truly? Your own companions?

[She's so startled she doesn't even know how she should feel.]
meatery: (Well hello)

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-13 06:18 pm (UTC)(link)
It would be! They didn't seem to have a lot of sympathy for Sephiroth, so maybe that'll help. Ah, maybe I should apologise to Souza...

[She doesn't want to end up the next target of the swords.]
gravesite: dns (▶ i crept up in you)

[personal profile] gravesite 2015-08-13 06:23 pm (UTC)(link)
I think what everyone failed to understand, today, was the fact that:

Had Sephiroth given us his evidence, instead of accusing our comrade with no proof, the swords would have been convinced to vote the way that the evidence points, even if it's one of our own.

We aren't unreasonable. I might be the least moral of them all — I'm here, right? — but the rest of them are, for the most part, honorable, and willing to listen to reason.

[ If you give them some of your beloved food, perhaps you can win over their trust... ]

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-13 06:45 pm (UTC)(link)
So, not "loyal to a fault" or anything like that... I'm not sure how that'll work out for us, in the end.

But, you know, you guys really worried people today.
gravesite: dns (▶ with a reverence unimpaired)

[personal profile] gravesite 2015-08-13 07:14 pm (UTC)(link)
Nope! It might hurt us later, but for now, it's still something to think about.

I know. It'll be a topic that comes up tomorrow, no doubt about it. I'll just... have to do my best to smooth it out.
