night two - kill log.
Who: Killer and Reimu Hakurei
When: The second night
Where: The jungles of Ship-Trap Island
[ It's the dead of night in the jungle. Considering the Hunt, you have to wonder if you're actually safe out here, but it at least seems quiet. Maybe you could try getting some rest, or maybe you should keep watch. Either way, that quiet may not seem very comforting. ]

She sighs after a moment or two. ]
Aaa, how dull. Do you want a head start, little girl? It might make things a little less boring. If you can outrun me, I'll let you keep your life.
[ That's a lie. And Reimu probably can't run that fast, but she might want to get out of the tree...because if she doesn't in the next minute after Shijima stops speaking, the immortal will quite unceremoniously shove the other girl off. It's not a drop that should kill her, so it's not the end just yet. If Reimu gets out by herself, however, Shijima won't need to bother. ]
SCREAM, OH MY GOD LUCY
That's pretty much all she's thinking, right now. Was she going to die? What would happen if she did? End up back in the Netherworld, stuck listening to Yuyuko yammer on for the next 500 years?
She hops out of the tree of her own volition, expression languid. ]
Giving me a head start? How noble. Most youkai wouldn't dare.
hush and let me kill you
[ She flaps her hand, dismissively. Shijima still hasn't made any move to leave the tree herself, still kicking her heels. She apparently has no concern about being unable to catch Reimu. ]
Tch...if you aren't going to appreciate the head start, it's almost not worthwhile offering it...

[ she shrugs ]
What's the use running? I'm pretty ordinary without my powers.

[ An annoyed sigh. She still hasn't moved to leave the tree, but she stretches now, and leans forward. ]
If you're not even going to try to live, it's for the best you're dying now, right? What's the use to doing something useless...how do you know if you don't try it, that's the answer to that.

Its hunting, isn't it? That's why they're not going after animals. There's no chase. So I'm not giving you or your friends any satisfaction.
[ leaning against the tree, starting to pick at her nails ]
she's not much for conversation
[ She's on the ground now, a blur of movement, but not close to Reimu. She's a little ways off, placing herself in the shadows - her white hair, her pink dress, and her yellow eyes are easy to see, though - and apparently gauging the distance between them with casual disinterest. ]
This should be about right. [ Whatever that means...Shijima is apparently referring to what she does next, though. There's an 8mm handgun in her hands now, and with too-quick reflexes Shijima's levels the gun at Reimu and fires. She's a trained ninja, and that includes gunmanship...to this degree, at least.
She'd aimed for Reimu's head (dead-center, trained), point-blank and without a hint of remorse or hesitation, likely far too fast for Reimu to even register anything other than "gun". ]
i shouldn't have laughed, but i did
...I'm going to tear you a new one, Yuyuko.
[ Bang.
Black, black, blacker than the spaces in between the eyes of Yukari's gaps, and even more unfriendly.
Goodnight. ]
my work here is done
Sitting back on her heels, she admires the effect. ]
Goodnight, Reimu Hakurei. [ Oh, so she does know Reimu's name...for all that she'd said "little girl". But there isn't any time for remorse, since Shijima doesn't have any remorse to start with. Within seconds, she's faded off into the jungle once again. ]
