night four - kill log.
Who: Killers and Greed
When: The fourth night
Where: The jungles of Ship-Trap Island
[ It's the dead of night in the jungle. Considering the Hunt, you have to wonder if you're actually safe out here, but it at least seems quiet. Maybe you could try getting some rest, or maybe you should keep watch. Either way, that quiet may not seem very comforting. ]

She'll trust in Gi-ne's lead, at least.]
no subject
He's listening, for even the slightest sound.]

no subject
Otherwise, the jungle is quiet.]

He's going to die, but if he has anything to say for it, he's not going down without a fight. He does the only thing he can do-- he runs for it, looking for some kind of clearing. Maybe he can get enough space between him and the hounds to get a chance to attack one of them.
He needs to do something. Give some sort of sign.]

What that something is becomes clear when Greed does reach a clearing just as Gi-ne does, a threatening looking cleaver in one hand and a small bandage wrapped around her right arm. At the sight of him she looks shocked.]
Greed!
no subject
Another...? [and less softly:] be careful, Gi-ne.
[The dogs still circle behind him, growling.]
no subject
You.... you're the General?
[This.... certainly makes things complicated.]
no subject
Gi-ne's face hardens and she rushes forward to slam her fist into Greed's gut.]
Yes.
[Sorry, bro.]

Clarine hangs back, expression tense and a little sad, but otherwise firm. They have to do this. This is for everyone's good.
She'll keep hanging back for now, but she's at the ready to back Gi-ne up.]
no subject
What happened to that proud warrior? How cowardly.
[He's not fighting back, though.]
Hurting women's not my style. Just make it quick.
no subject
[But she doesn't look like she's in the mood to go easy on him. Her arm still hurts so instead of punching him she kicks him in the head now that it's within her reach, intending to knock him onto the ground.]
You can have that same chance if you want, but it's been a long night.
no subject
So, antsily, she remains silent, waiting for Gi-ne to finish it.]
no subject
That's not what I'm talking about, and you know it.
[He's silent for a moment, and then:]
Unlike Samonji, I don't have friends on my side telling me to live. Go on, kill me. That's the point of your game.
This is what I want; this is what you want. Go on, do it.
no subject
... First, let's talk about friends. Are you the one who betrayed Orion?
no subject
Someone betrayed Orion, and they still need to know who.]
no subject
No.
no subject
Fuuma then, probably. Thank you.
[Then she grabs Greed by the hair, tugs his head into position and readies her cleaver to slit his throat.]
... And, Greed? You do have friends.
no subject
[That is Clarine's only input before she averts her gaze.]
no subject
No, I don't.
[His eyes close.]
Saving people by killing them. Well, good luck.
no subject
[Gi-ne seems sure of it anyway. The corner of her blade catches on the side of Greed's throat.]
You too.
[And the blade slices across his throat. Gi-ne waits a second before letting go of his hair, letting him drop back onto the ground.]
