Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. [It's been a long, upsetting day. When Gi-ne wakes up she stands up slowly, her face blank. She hasn't been able to mourn all day, not openly, but now her fists are clenched and she's shaking slightly. She takes a deep breath and screams at the sky.]

ORIOOON!

[Normally this would be a little more impressive, her ki probably flaring up around her, but as it is... no. But they've lost a friend and this puts them in real danger as far as the game goes. Gi-ne is not happy.]

[Woah, she mad.

Except Hinata feels the same way. The only thing that keeps him from screaming himself is that Gi-ne kind of scared him a little with that intensity.]

H-hey! Gi-ne!

[Let Gi-ne handle the shounen rage, Hinata, saiyans pretty much defined it.]

There's no way it's a coincidence! One of them betrayed him!

[Is it betrayal... Well, it feels like it to Gi-ne.]

[Hinata just screams into his pillow when he's alone in a cottage for the night, so yeah, Gi-ne's got him beat. But for now, he's apparently got to be the calmer one.]

Yeah, I know. I know! Either Greed or Fuuma is the real Fox, or one of them shared his identity with someone else. Either way, it's one of those two. No way it was Matt, he wouldn't even share the Fox's identity with me.

No, I don't think it was Matt... So it was one of those two and they- they told Yamato for some reason? Or Royce?

[Seems to still believe Royce about Yamato having a gun.]

No, I don't think that's it. I don't know if that sword actually did have a gun. All the arguments I presented to Melborn, he couldn't refute. It's Yasusada's personality that got him executed, nothing else.

I think someone must have lied to Melborn, and I... have a feeling it's got something to do with his relationship with Jason Todd. I think one of those two has to be the gunsmith. The way Melborn and Todd were acting after Hakurei was killed... it's suspicious.

[Gi-ne takes a deep breath and does seem to calm down. After bottling that up all day, she just needed to get it out of her system.]

[ WELL NO........ there can never be enough slaughter. ]

You're right, it was... difficult. But at least Horikawa won't be lonely — he has Yamato with him.[ He'll admit; Horikawa wasn't difficult, but seeing Yamato die in the same day (the 24 hours, give or take) hadn't been easy, even for him. ]

I don't think we're going to find who killed Orion that soon. It would probably take us a few days; that, or we'll never figure it out.

I know that he's going to come back if we win this game, but I'm still sad, you know?

I actually voted for Yamato because I believed Royce about him having a gun. But before that I was going to vote for Jason.

Ah, the gun talk. Generally... guns started replacing swords, you know? But if anyone would know how to use a gun, it's the younger swords — to be specific, the Shinsengumi swords. For example, Kashuu, Yamato, and Horikawa.

But it's not as if they were trained in gun use. There's a sword that's pretty familiar with guns, but... he's not here, so it's useless to bring him up.

I still think that we should do something about Royce, soon.

That's fine, we can leave him for another night. Also, we should really deal with one of the three people that Orion met with last night. This timing is too good to just be a coincidence, isn't it?

Haha, but— I would take the wakizashis off of the suspect list, because they're shorter, and didn't we cover that the gun was used in closer proximity than the... stab weapon?

Sadly, we still have a lot of uchigatanas. Those would be Souza, Kashuu, Kasen (oh mysterious kasen who lives a second life as ivan during the day...), and Yamato — who's dead.

But if a sword isn't responsible for this, I'm really just talking in circles, here. Either way, I'm here to tell the Generals the truth, no matter what.

Kashuu... he's... friends with both Yasusada and Kunihiro, right? It stands to reason that if it were any of them, he's the one who worked with Yasusada. If we're supposed to believe Melborn that Yasusada was in possession of a gun at any point.

And you did say any of the Shinsengumi swords might be able to use a gun, if any of them could, right?

Even the shortest sword... sword person... here would still easily go through the back of a person's body... so where are the sword people getting this from? ] It's actually the other way around — it's easier to stab someone with a longer sword. It's cleaner, too, if the sword's the only weapon you're going to use.

He is. They were all part of the same organization; there's no doubt that Kashuu would want to help Yamato and Horikawa. But that's the question, here: Do you think Yamato owned a gun, at any point?

Yes, technically, but it's still not very likely. The sword that I mentioned earlier was their... [ And a BIG PAUSE, to think, because this is 19th? 18th? century stuff, and for someone like Tsurumaru, who was born in the 11th century, it gets fuzzy. ] rival? Or something like that.
