the general - night four.
THE GENERAL night four ![]() Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn. character statuses profiles All night votes will be due 8/22 by 5PM EST |

ORIOOON!
[Normally this would be a little more impressive, her ki probably flaring up around her, but as it is... no. But they've lost a friend and this puts them in real danger as far as the game goes. Gi-ne is not happy.]
no subject
Except Hinata feels the same way. The only thing that keeps him from screaming himself is that Gi-ne kind of scared him a little with that intensity.]
H-hey! Gi-ne!
no subject
There's no way it's a coincidence! One of them betrayed him!
[Is it betrayal... Well, it feels like it to Gi-ne.]
no subject
Yeah, I know. I know! Either Greed or Fuuma is the real Fox, or one of them shared his identity with someone else. Either way, it's one of those two. No way it was Matt, he wouldn't even share the Fox's identity with me.

[Seems to still believe Royce about Yamato having a gun.]

I think someone must have lied to Melborn, and I... have a feeling it's got something to do with his relationship with Jason Todd. I think one of those two has to be the gunsmith. The way Melborn and Todd were acting after Hakurei was killed... it's suspicious.

[She seems pretty certain of it.]
Someone he always trusts and someone he's sure will be dead by the end of the night. He may as well have confessed outright.

Slowly, she just steps over to Gi-ne's side, gently laying a hand on her arm.]
Gi-ne.... we must continue.... f-for his sake, and the sakes of the others.
no subject
Right... You're right... We are not going to lose.
no subject
[even if it feels EVEN MORE DAUNTING NOW.]
It...helps, I believe, that they do not know he i--was one of us.
For his sake, and his memory, let us keep it that way.

Urgh, this- it makes me so mad! Not even in trial, just in the middle of the night like that!

But then... something went very wrong, over the course of the night. I still do not understand what happened to him. Someone killed him, but...why?
[And there's that nagging thought in her head about what Hector said...that it looked like Orion was being the aggressor.]

Aside from her yell, it's a bit quiet. ]
I want to know who killed him.
There was a stab wound with the gunshot, right? If it was one of the swords, I'll kill them myself. Again.

[AREN'T YOU HAPPY ALREADY WITH YOUR SWORD SLAUGHTER.]
T-that was...today was difficult. Do you truly wish to kill another of your comrades so soon?
what happened to my html LORD
You're right, it was... difficult. But at least Horikawa won't be lonely — he has Yamato with him.[ He'll admit; Horikawa wasn't difficult, but seeing Yamato die in the same day (the 24 hours, give or take) hadn't been easy, even for him. ]
I don't think we're going to find who killed Orion that soon. It would probably take us a few days; that, or we'll never figure it out.
you killed it LIKE HORIKAWA
But that much is for sure. They'll never know. So she just straightens her shoulders and lifts her chin and frowns.]
...Then we must continue the game as we were. If we manage to...to remove everyone from it, we will have found them in the end.
[now it's personal....FOR MURDERFAM.]
UGH i ripped its insides out too i'm sorry html
That's what I think, too. If we win, we can bring everyone back - including Orion.
[ He pauses, before covering his smile with his hand, as well as the quiet laugh that follows. ]
I know that he's going to come back if we win this game, but I'm still sad, you know?
It surprised me, just... seeing him dead. If I have to be honest, I'm not quite over it, yet.

[She wants to end this game. But part of her also wants revenge.]
I actually voted for Yamato because I believed Royce about him having a gun. But before that I was going to vote for Jason.
no subject
Ah, the gun talk. Generally... guns started replacing swords, you know? But if anyone would know how to use a gun, it's the younger swords — to be specific, the Shinsengumi swords. For example, Kashuu, Yamato, and Horikawa.
But it's not as if they were trained in gun use. There's a sword that's pretty familiar with guns, but... he's not here, so it's useless to bring him up.
I still think that we should do something about Royce, soon.
no subject
[She doesn't know, man, she just punches people and blows them up.]
... I'll kill him if everyone agrees we should, but I think he's fine for tonight at least.
no subject
[ And there's too much accusations at sword users, too... but it's a good crowd to hide in. ]
That's fine, we can leave him for another night. Also, we should really deal with one of the three people that Orion met with last night. This timing is too good to just be a coincidence, isn't it?

Which of them could be used as a stabbing weapon, exactly? It's come up a few times, but I know you'll tell the truth.
[The other swords could be lying to protect each other but at least Hinata trusts Tsuru to tell them which swords are suspicious.]
no subject
Haha, but— I would take the wakizashis off of the suspect list, because they're shorter, and didn't we cover that the gun was used in closer proximity than the... stab weapon?
Sadly, we still have a lot of uchigatanas. Those would be Souza, Kashuu, Kasen (oh mysterious kasen who lives a second life as ivan during the day...), and Yamato — who's dead.
But if a sword isn't responsible for this, I'm really just talking in circles, here. Either way, I'm here to tell the Generals the truth, no matter what.
no subject
[Which was news to Hinata?? This whole sword thing only manages to annoy and confuse him, really.]
Kashuu... he's... friends with both Yasusada and Kunihiro, right? It stands to reason that if it were any of them, he's the one who worked with Yasusada. If we're supposed to believe Melborn that Yasusada was in possession of a gun at any point.
And you did say any of the Shinsengumi swords might be able to use a gun, if any of them could, right?
no subject
He is. They were all part of the same organization; there's no doubt that Kashuu would want to help Yamato and Horikawa. But that's the question, here: Do you think Yamato owned a gun, at any point?
Yes, technically, but it's still not very likely. The sword that I mentioned earlier was their... [ And a BIG PAUSE, to think, because this is 19th? 18th? century stuff, and for someone like Tsurumaru, who was born in the 11th century, it gets fuzzy. ] rival? Or something like that.
