the general - night four.
THE GENERAL night four ![]() Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn. character statuses profiles All night votes will be due 8/22 by 5PM EST |

ORIOOON!
[Normally this would be a little more impressive, her ki probably flaring up around her, but as it is... no. But they've lost a friend and this puts them in real danger as far as the game goes. Gi-ne is not happy.]

She takes a deep breath, straightening her shoulders, and clasps her hands together before her.]
I am...not a proper cleric of St. Elimine, but all who use healing magic must have faith in her, and Etruria is, naturally, the centerpiece of the Church of St. Elimine, civilized as it is--
[Focus, Clarine. She clears her throat.]
That is... Though I am aware that there are many different systems of belief here, and though I am not truly a proper cleric of the Church of St. Elimine, I would still like to offer up a...a prayer, if nothing else, to assist their souls onward in this time.
[Another breath; she fiddles nervously with her gloves.]
Orion...was brave, and true to our cause, and did what he felt must be done to save the others. I wish to commend his bravery, and wish him rest for now. He has done his part.
Alois...Ema, Stocking, S...Shijima...Kouichi. Megumi, Reimu, Kashima, Mary, Megumi, Sephiroth. Yamato, Horikawa.
[Another breath.]
I also wish to pray for your souls, and wish you well in whatever path--or judgement--you are enduring currently.
And...we shall save you. That is the least we can do.
[With that all said, she bows her head over clasped hands for a long moment, before finally crouching and petting her dog. It gives her something to do with her hands--but at least she's not teary-eyed, this time.]

[SHSL Cat Herder up and at it again, please cease sinning.]
Let's... just take a minute and seriously go over our options for tonight. We know Greed and Fuuma probably had something to do with what happened to Orion, but... from the sounds of it, it seems like Lightray is going to be able to handle it.
Melborn is definitely suspicious, but he doesn't seem to be looking toward any of us yet. The swords... I think enough people distrust them that it's fine to leave them alone for now. So who have we got?

Wakes up from nap-
n4 sword meeting information leak ft. FOXES... wow this turned out long
Sooooo! You know how the swords meet every night, exchanging information and whatnot? Well, four nights of it and something useful has finally popped up. Clarine, Gi-ne, congratulations on killing a Fox!
Allow me to explain. I got this information from Souza, who got this information from... a source that I'll talk about later. However, the source told him that Jason was a Fox.
However, there are more Foxes than we thought. Souza's source was another Fox, who he trusts more than he trusts Jason. This means that: even though Jason is dead, another Fox is still out there. According to what Souza said, this Fox has been unlucky enough to have all of their searches turn up innocent. They investigated Souza after the Sephiroth incident, and found Souza to be innocent — which is why Souza and this second Fox are working together.
Now, anything I say after this point is speculation.
First, it is possible that the Foxes know who the other Foxes are, as Souza was told that Jason was a Fox by another Fox.
Second, and more importantly to us, who is this second Fox? I know for a fact that Souza isn't the most trusting guy. He's had stuff branded into his skin, etc, yadda yadda, history. For the most part, he's a pretty sad sword, and doesn't branch out and isn't really a social kind of guy. If anything, someone had to approach him first. This second Fox is not among the swords, otherwise Souza would have told his story differently.
After the Sephiroth incident, the swords have all been keeping an eye out for Souza's defense, including myself. As I knew for a fact that Souza wasn't guilty, I predicted a Fox or two to approach him out of curiosity, just as Souza said. There's someone that I've seen approaching Souza, from time to time, that isn't one of us. They talk to him kindly — well, as kindly as they can. Cats have no business around caged birds, unless they want to eat them, or they've struck up an odd kind of alliance with them for some hidden reason.
But not only that — during the trial where Orion pretended to be a Fox and Matt spoke up about Zaroff, this person was strongly opposed against others believing the information. Why were they so set on claiming that it was false, when nothing else was offered during the day to dissuade us from believing that information? It was as if they knew how the Fox role worked, and that wasn't it.
[ He pauses, before closing his long speech with: ]
This is just what I think, but I believe the second Fox to be Auger von Garibaldi.
