THE GENERAL night four Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn. rulebook character statuses profiles All night votes will be due 8/22 by 5PM EST

[ Ivan is sitting passively to the side, waiting for everyone to wake up. When they look around, they may notice that Orion's dog is missing. ]

[She does notice, but only after her own puppy has comforted her for a bit after that entire mess and disaster. She's stroking Erk's head quietly when...it strikes her.]

... Er-- pardon me, but...where is Lightray?

[QUESTION TO THE CLASS AT LARGE, REALLY.]

[ Ivan shakes her head slightly. ]

Out hunting. You don't need to worry yourselves over it. They cannot die, so think of it as avenging their master.

Whoever they find. It is the next stage of the game. Usually things are not so... complicated. But this is a judgement. The souls must pass on quickly, and so your foxhounds have always been here to help with that. They always will be.

[Yes, she would daresay things are REALLY COMPLICATED.]

I suppose I... I understand. [she doesn't like it at all though.... the dog could go after anyone, then.]

[ Ivan gives her a little smile, then reaches out to take her hand and give it a gentle squeeze. ]

...It is hard, I know. But have faith. You are all doing a good thing here.

[Hinata, tailed by his as-of-yet-unnamed dog, eventually does make his way over to Ivan to sit next to her.]

[ She gives him a little smile, though she seems tired. ]

I will manage.

[hopefragment]

[That doesn't answer his question, Ivan.]

[Hinata glances toward her then just shakes his head.]

You'll... get to come with us, right? If we win?

[foxhounds]

[ She pauses in surprise, but then looks down as she shakes her head with a smile. ]

No. But I can finally rest in peace. That is all I want at this point.

...You're sure? There's no way we... can try to do something?

[Does he have to fight the Judge? HE'LL FIGHT THE JUDGE more like cower behind Hijikata and Tsuru and let them fight the Judge but still.]

[ She looks up again with a smile that's very warm and sincere. ]

You're kind, but it's all right. I'm ready. If you can all return to your lives and I can rest, then I will be happy.

[hopefragment]

[Well... at least he made her smile, but that doesn't really make him feel good about it.]

Then... don't worry. We'll make sure you get that chance this time.

So... can I ask for a rules clarification?

Someone's definitely giving out guns. Is there a rule that says that if someone receives a gun, they have to use it within a certain timeframe?

...There can be, yes. But that's the Judge's role to give out, not mine.

[hopefragment]

So if the "gunsmith" is given out by the Judge... which roles do you give out, then? Did you pick us specifically?

[foxhounds]

[ She shakes her head ]

Not really. You were the first to show up. It is as simple as that. If the Judge gives additional roles, it's because they have a whim to.

[That doesn't make him feel good, that he ended up like this because of what's basically chance.]

Do you think the Judge is going to try to interfere in anything else? They... don't think we can win, so I'm just worried they'll try to... sabotage us, or something.

[foxhounds]

[ She glances away ]

...They could. They're a bit petty, and I think you upset them.

Is there anything we can do against them? To stop these kinds of awful judgments?

[foxhounds]

[ She shakes her head ]

It is simply the way things are. I'm sorry.

[He exhales a sigh and just nods.]

Yeah, I... kind of figured. I had to ask, though.

Do you know exactly what will happen to us? If we win, and we come back to life... am I going to have to go back to Jabberwock Island, or can I just... take a boat straight to Japan?

I'm not sure. It's never happened in any game I've participated in, so I really don't know.
