THE GENERAL night five Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. [If she knows Urashima at all, she thinks he'll come to check on her after that entire fiasco of an execution. She's grateful for it. It makes her feel a little warm, but at the same time...

It's hard for her to ignore the cold knot in her chest that this brings her.

She doesn't want to lose Tsurumaru as well.]

...We will not allow everyone to remain dead. All of you...we will bring all of you back to life. No matter what it takes.

I'm glad. [ To hear that Urashima would be watching out for her... he exhales a sigh of relief. ] I don't know him the way that his brothers do, but from what I know... he's fond of you. He likes you a lot, Clarine, and even if you're discovered, he'll deny it. He'll fight evidence, if it's for you.

[ He thinks upon her words carefully, as these are words that she's spoken to him before. Like Urashima, she's adamant on certain things; he's fond of that, too. ]

All of my comrades are good people. For tricking them, I'm the worst one. Tell me: do you think that after what I did to them, that I still deserve to come back?

... I do not want him to get himself into trouble on my behalf, but... [It hurts to say this, it really, really hurts, but she knows how desperately important this is. For all of their sakes. For Urashima too.] ...If I must, I will use him in that way. To bring us all back.

[She huffs at that, though, a bit more of her spirit showing on her face.]

Naturally you do. You shall explain yourself properly to them when you have all returned to life. Do you understand me?

If it's for the sake of everyone else, I think he can forgive you. Even if they don't understand now, they'll understand when... all of this is over. [ Smart, Clarine... Play your cards wisely! ] If my reveal tomorrow doesn't throw all suspicion off of the swords — they'll be happy, they found the guilty sword, right? — then I think it would be wise to... use him, if the writing on the wall hasn't cleared him entirely.

[ There's a small laugh, and the direct way she states her answer lifts his spirits, if only a little. ]

Aah, but I think they'll be pretty mad at me for what I did to Horikawa, though. Do you think I can justify that, too?

...Yes. Someday they shall understand.

[If they succeed.

If they don't succeed, they'll all STAY DEAD and it won't matter, so....welp.]

But I shall...keep that in mind. If nothing else, I believe that...he believes in me. As I too believe in him.

[The major difference of course is that Urashima is innocent and Clarine is VERY MUCH NOT.]

... We shall see, won't we? [She tilts her head at him, arching an eyebrow imperiously.] When you come back, and Horikawa as well, and the others, you shall have to justify it to them.

[And then her expression melds into a smile.]
