THE GENERAL night six Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench, though she's as impassive as ever to what's going on. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you back. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight. After all, you're saving them. [ He's been quiet for most of the meeting, making sure he's at least paying attention to Ivan's and Hinata's conversation.

So he nods. ]

If you two are fine with it then it's not like I can complain. [ Simple as that! ]

I just want to bring back Souji. If I have to risk my life and die for him, then that's fine.

... You are so brave when it is for him, and for the other Shinsengumi.

[She laughs a little, quietly, and ducks her head.]

I am envious...

[ Oh... Now that was unexpected. ]

They're the only family I have anyway.

[ A pause... ]

Well... Maybe I can leave room for a few more members. [ Murderfam! ] It's nothing to be envious about though, I just realized it's my duty, really.

That's not what she was expecting, and for a moment she goes a little slack-jawed in her surprise.

And then she ducks her head, giggling quietly. God this has been a stressful six days, but she thinks Hijikata just called her family, and this is not where she thought they would end up when they started yelling at each other the very first day.]

... Thank you. If it is with you and Hinata, I believe we shall be all right.

[ Man... Trusting people outside of the Shinsengumi Is Difficult since they were the only people Hijikata's ever had in his life.

But maybe surprises like these do happen when you're suddenly "dead", thrown into a group of 5 other murderers, and you have to kill as a part of a game. Wow. Amazing! ]

So... We just got to do this, huh. Figure out who to vote for... Go on with it. So you two better take care of each other, because I won't have you two disappearing suddenly and not showing up at the mansion in the morning. [ Honestly, all he's good at mostly is giving orders and berating. But it's out of concern kids! :) ]

[She huffs, but otherwise shakes her head, and there's no real bite to her words or tone.]

[Considering most of their conversations still consist of "don't you dare do that Hijibaka I'm warning you," this is a big step. He's still too exhausted and upset to smile, but he does give the other a nod.]

[ Isn't it great how we can get along after murdering together for six days? ]

Seems like it. [ He nods. ] I'm not going to back down now that I've said it.
