the general - night one.

THE GENERAL night one

Instead of waking up in the jungle, you wake up elsewhere. This is the square where The General comes to decide what to do, and Ivan patiently sits on a bench. Each of you has your own foxhound who's barking happily to welcome you. They'll help you find who you choose to hunt tonight.

After all, you're saving them.

You have a little while to discuss who you'll hunt tonight, but don't linger too long, since you only have until dawn.

Swords...

[A beat]

Ah...! The sword spirits...! I suppose if we had a sword, we could make it look somewhat suspicious...

[sorry kashuu and yamato]

Un! We could even let Hijitaka do it tonight, to make sure it looks like it was done by an expert! Though that could be bad for him...

True...

[She purses her lips, somewhat aggravated.]

I do not know how to do this without cassting doubts on us as well, but... I know we cannot leave it up to chance again.

Hmm... [Tilts her head back, thinking.] There were a lot of people who said they could use a sword in their profile, I remember that. So it might not help them narrow it down anyway. There was almost as many who said they could fight hand-to-hand.

What other ways are there to kill someone? Shooting them with something?
unrulyprincess: (Thou yeasty folly-fallen clotpole!)

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-09 04:20 pm (UTC)(link)
Yes...there are a great many ways to kill someone, but... [do they have the supplies.]

I suppose that is something else we must figure out.
meatery: (Chop chop!)

Aah, I should have grabbed a knife at dinner... Hey, guys!

[Turning and yelling at the group here.] Who here is armed? I've just got my body and my armour, what about you boys?
hopefragment: saying i fell just isn't working (i'm gonna tell them i wrestled a bear*)

Definitely not.

[Pretend to be surprised.]
meatery: (Uhuh. Sure.)

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-09 05:56 pm (UTC)(link)
I'm shocked.

[ Gestures to his two swords: Say hello to Kanesada and Horikawa! ]

That's all I have.
meatery: (Cutie for dinner)

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-09 06:21 pm (UTC)(link)
That's still pretty good. I'm going to try to find a knife or something for when it's my turn.

[and maybe just for wandering around the jungle with JUST IN CASE]

[ Well, he's here to represent the many sword spirits on the island! He'll gesture to his side, where he keeps his sword. ]

I've got a sword, but that's all.
meatery: (Jesus Christ what's behind you)

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-09 06:29 pm (UTC)(link)
So that's three swords...

[personal profile] gravesite 2015-08-09 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Two sword users, three swords. Would that make sword usage too suspicious?
meatery: (minus1)

[personal profile] meatery 2015-08-09 06:34 pm (UTC)(link)
But there are way more sword users in the other group, isn't there? [They've only got two out dozens here.]

But that's up to you and Hijitaka, really. I don't know a lot about swords, besides the basics. [Stick 'em with the pointy end.]

Right, right. There's at least seven that I recognize. [ The more sword castmates, the more people to pin blame on. ]

Well, I have no preference on how we do this, so if Hijikata's fine with swords, then so am I. If keeping up the same type of weapon seems too complicated, then we could also use brute force...?

Either way, we should first decide on if we want to use a weapon or not.

Mm... is your method of swordfighting particularly recognizable...?

It may make the murder easier on you both as well... it would be bad if they were somehow able to get away.

Not really! Swords generally take after the fighting style of their masters, but I never had one for long enough to do that.

However, I'll say that the Shinsengumi swords, Yamato and Horikawa, do have distinct ways of fighting that they learned from their masters -- and Horikawa's master is none other than Hijikata, so.

[personal profile] unrulyprincess 2015-08-09 06:53 pm (UTC)(link)
[She really doesn't like the idea of trying to frame Yamato...... she doesn't know Horikawa, but it still seems underhanded.]

Perhaps... it may be too obvious if we cast that much doubt upon someone immediately...?

But they must also have information to discuss at the trial...

[...she stomps her foot after a moment]

Oooh, I just do not know!
